Astaxanthin is the antioxidant to which these nicknames from the subtitle belong, and it belongs to a large group of natural skin and eye protectors against harmful UV radiation called carotenoids. Other pigments such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which are found in Sunlove Skin+ and additionally protect eyes and skin from UV radiation.

Comparing the effect of astaxanthin with other known antioxidants, it is interesting that it acts against free radicals 11 times stronger than beta carotene and even 500 times stronger than vitamin E2.
