Almagea Socially responsible projects in 2023 - a look at the year behind us

The year 2023 for us started humanitarian from the very beginning. The public appeal to collect financial aid for the treatment of Ratnica Lava, the girl Lava Petrušić, who was heard about by almost the whole of Croatia, did not give us even a second's thought. We started the year immediately with a payment of EUR 1,333 (10,000 HRK) to the account of Lava's mother Petra which successfully and in a very short time collected the necessary amount for Lava's treatment in America. Lava's strength and persistence came to the fore quickly, so in 2023. ended with wonderful news; Lava successfully takes his first steps, and Lava continues his treatment in Croatia.

Soon after, another public appeal for financial assistance appeared. This time it was about the Dog&Go Animal Protection Association, which found itself in an unfavorable situation due to high financial debts and was threatened with closure. We decided to respond to this appeal and we are Association Dog&Go donated the amount of EUR 500 (HRK 3,750). The association successfully covered all financial costs, their noble volunteers continued their humanitarian work, and many happy faces are still wagging their tails, each new day hoping to find their warm and happy home.

And in 2023. we decided help work Paws in the Heart Association from Ogulin and we cheered them up with a donation of EUR 500 (HRK 3,750). We follow the work of this Association and the efforts made by the Association's volunteers in this area for the welfare of animals, which is why we have supported them for another year in a row. And we want these muzzles to be adopted as soon as possible and find their warm and happy homes.

Almagea collective consists of a large number of women whose share is 78%. We work very well because we know that we need to support each other, exchange experiences and give advice both in business and sometimes in private decisions. Unfortunately, violence against women has become an increasingly common problem in today's society, and the news we encounter every day disappoints and shocks us. We therefore decided in 2023. assisted work Autonomous women's houses Zagreb and we donated 800 EUR (6,000 HRK). We wish all residents a speedy recovery and a happy and safe future. Solidarity is what further strengthens our Almagea team.

We also renewed the Scholarship Agreement with Association Dora which has been active since 2022. and extended it for a year ahead of us. Dora is a humanitarian association in the field of child and youth care in the Republic of Croatia, and with a monthly monetary donation we help in the education of their wards and contribute to the quality of their lives. The world rests on young people, they are the generations that will create our future, so we are extremely happy to provide them with financial support and prepare them for all life's responsibilities and tasks that await them.

From year to year we are frequent sponsors at numerous professional congresses that we attend, a thousands of our donated products annually they help numerous students and various associations in the successful implementation of activities throughout Croatia. We are happy to respond to all calls for donations that we are able to make, and we will continue this practice in the future.

As in previous years, in 2023. we paid attention to that all our promotional materials to be biodegradable, but also for all packaging to be ecological. Continuously we make sure that we produce as little waste as possible inside and outside the office and yes we separate the waste correctly, a we continued cooperation with a company that buys larger quantities of our office waste and disposes of it properly.

Health is our first priority, so all our employees have contracted additional health insurance in order to prevent and preserve health.

We will continue with these same steps in the year ahead. We are looking forward to 2024, to all the new projects that await us and to all the good deeds that have become an integral part of our business. We are aware that we cannot help everyone, but we know that each of us can help someone. It is with these thoughts that we welcome 2023. and we are ready to welcome the year ahead.
